## Points Program FAQ

<summary><strong>What are points?</strong></summary>

Points track how much you trade and refer on Share. They live off-chain, cannot be spent yet, and count toward future rewards.

<summary><strong>How can I earn points?</strong></summary>

**Trade:** Every filled order earns points, on the web app and in the mobile app. A bigger trade earns more, and a market order earns more than a limit order. Limit orders earn points on Hyperliquid only. <mark style="color:$danger;">Limit orders on Polymarket do not earn points.</mark>

**Trade on Hyperliquid:** The same trade earns more points on Hyperliquid than on Polymarket

**Refer friends:** You earn points when the people you referred trade, on top of 50% of their fees generated when they trade which are instantly paid to your wallet

**Rank as a top trader:** Top traders earn more on every market order

<summary><strong>Which markets are eligible for points?</strong></summary>

Every Polymarket and Hyperliquid market on Share. Market orders earn points on both Polymarket and Hyperliquid, and <mark style="color:$danger;">limit orders earn points on Hyperliquid only</mark>. An order that never fills earns nothing.

<summary><strong>Can I see my points before I trade?</strong></summary>

Yes. On a Buy, each venue shows the points the order will earn if it fills there, and the venue earning more is highlighted.

<summary><strong>When do points update?</strong></summary>

Every Friday at 5PM PT. The points you earned over the past week appear all at once, and the countdown to the next update is at the top of the Points page.

<summary><strong>Is there a leaderboard?</strong></summary>

Yes, at [share.xyz/\~/points-leaderboard](https://share.xyz/~/points-leaderboard) and in the mobile app's Rewards tab. It ranks everyone by points over *All Time*, *Last Week* or *Last Month*, with each trader's volume, Hyperliquid volume and referred volume.
